Melinda Wood Allen - Singer Song WriterMelinda began singing on public stages at the age of 8, and has since devoted her life to inspiring people and celebrating the Divine through music.

She has an incredible 4 octave vocal range and is amazingly versatile, equally at home singing a variety of musical styles, including opera and art song, musical theater, jazz, R & B, folk, country and rock and roll.

As a singer she looks for beauty in melody and universal and emotional truth in lyrics. As a songwriter she strives for the same.

She recently set to music Ed Townley’s magical play, “Greater Things Than These,” which had its premier performance in 2010.

She currently has three albums, and is in pre-production on a fourth. She is very active in musical theater in the Dallas/Fort Worth area where she makes her home, and she sings at churches and concert venues throughout the US. In addition, she is honored to be the special guest musician for a number of Chris Chenowith’s Positive Christianity Cruises.
